today's (15/12/2004) generally been quite nice... :) we did quite a bit of sight seeing..! yeah, i really love the scenery here... we went up mount titlis, 3050m in height... wow, the view is spectacular... when u see the pictures, u'll understand... :) the white snow, the bright sun and the clear air, something i've never quite seen before. the air was so crisp and fresh, absolutely unpolluted... wow! hur, and there were many beautiful and crystal clear lakes where u could see the reflection of the mountains in them. i wish singapore had anything close to tt... hee... i'm slowly beginning to enjoy this as much as i think i would if i were on an island paradise with soft sands and blue scintillating seas.. :) haha!

i'm so in love with everything swiss right now... if not for the fact i miss pple back home, i might just stay here... ;) haha. the toilets here are so clean, the streets everything. the pple here are really well bred and v considerate, which explains the cleaniness since i see less cleaners around than in singapore... hmmm, the people are so absolutely polite too... v helpful and courteous... i feel so well received! haha... the car drivers would stop from a distance for pedestrians, and the service in restaurants is excellent! like today, some pple couldn't take spicy food, the restaurant owner just gave them a few extra dishes and when the pple offered to pay, the owner just said there was no need. wow... haha! and the pple here are much less racist than most caucasian nations, like australian for example. haha, as in they are v willing to interact with u... lol! today in this cable car, this swiss couple asked why i was speaking english to my tour guide... and asked if my tour guide didn't speak japanese... i was like... haha, do i look v jap?! i always get mistaken for being jap or korean... :/ hehe... well, that means i'm not the typical yellow skinned, slit eyed chinese... ;) it was v amusing and they were really friendly. not sure if they know where singapore is though... lol!

we took cable cars up the mountain... changing 3 different types of cable cars. first is the normal kind we're accustomed to... then, a huge one tt can fit sooo many pple! then finally, this circular cable in which the inside rotates so tt we get to get all parts of the mountains as we ascend. sometimes when i'm in malaysia or china taking cable cars, i feel so unsafe... but here though we're going up so high, there was never a moment of fear cuz these cars and cables are al swiss made! :) seriously, they're so safe and well maintained tt u never feel scared. they are so technology advanced. i was wondering why their highways had no snow on them though it snowed earlier... and the guide said tt they had hot water in pipes under them to melt the snow so there was no need to clear snow. quite smart! :) haha, i could just go on and on... but well, i guess not. to put it simply, i'm impressed w the pple and everything else here... other than my freezing toes... ;)

PS: thnx everyone who's been msging me... u've been great, making my day knowing tt u guys miss me... ;) sorry i can't reply to each an everyone of yr msges... its ex k... n dun worry la, yr msges do not cost more than ordinary when u msg me... ;) take care! :)

PPS: i've mailed the postcards to those who smsed yr addresses... hope u do get them... dunno if my handwriting is clear, i was freezing when i wrote them... :/

sighs, i hope i've internet connection at the hotel i'm going to tmr. it'd absolutely suck if i'm still stuck like this. replying to smses is costly... but i wanna use sms. the irony. its really hard to adapt from my usual patterns of msging. bah.

anyway, it was miserably cold today... my toes are dying. i think my jacket is superb... it looks real nice, and is v snug and warm. i love it! :) hee.. the pocket with nice zips are really convenient for me to dump my camera, phones and what nots in it without worrying... yay. :)
by the way, these 2 nites i've been at interlaken... today went up another mountain... jung frau joch. its really high, and we went there by rail... :) the view was spectacular, but slowly its becoming less amazing cuz it seems there's not shortage of beautiful scenery in europe... :) hmmm, we didn't get to ski or go on the sleight rides today cuz the snow was too thick... not tt i was particularly keen since it was -11C and winds were 44km/h strong.. :/

not feeling too well now, have not been sleeping well. now i'm producing really thick mucus which is blood red. hmmm... wonder what tt means. hope i dun fall ill... :/
the stuff here is really expensive. i'm sorry if i'm unable to buy presents for u guys... but a meal here is like $200+?! haha... a lamb chop is abt 35CH, which is abt SGD50. haha. gifts are equally ex... :/ i guess it'd be even worse in france, and even worse in england. bah... the other families i'm touring w must be freaking rich... they other so much! and buy so much... hurhur. or maybe they've just been saving lotsa money... ;)

*crosses fingers* hope i get internet tmr... this is miserable. ha.

PS: dun laugh at my spasticated smiles in the photos. u trying smiling in the freezing winds when yr lips are cracked and dry. :P
